SO CLOSE TO SHARING SOME NEWS!

Two days ago I got "THE" reply from an editor who loves my story. What story? you ask. A short story, a novella by my thinking since it has 38,000 words, for a submissions call at The Wild Rose Press. Am I excited? Oh, yeah. Writing "short" is different than writing "long." Short stories have a different set of elements, and I wasn't sure I could pull it off. I'm thrilled I could.

The editor gave me a list of edits to make. One of the edits is the title. It just doesn't fit. Kinda like the thought of me in a tight short dress. Granted it might cover the basics, but it just doesn't look right. The fit's off. So is the fit of the title. For some reason I just couldn't come up with a good one. I'd changed it three times over the course of writing it, and nothing I tried seemed to fit.

So, once we've decided on a title, I'll make the announcement. Can't wait!!!
