ONE LAST STORM

For over a year, I've been focused on promoting my debut book Storm's Interlude. What a fun ride, one that introduced me to so many lovely ladies--readers and other writers. Tomorrow my second story, a novella and part of the Honky Tonk Hearts line, releases. My promotional efforts have already shifted to Those Violet Eyes. And I have to admit, I feel like I'm abandoning Storm. **sniff** It was my first, y'all.

So, to show Storm a little love before I move ahead, I'm giving away a free eCopy of my debut, award-winning book to the first five commenters who sign up to follow my blog, if you haven't already, and place your email address in a comment. After all, I can't notify you you've won if I can't reach you.

Hugs to you all. Have a fantastic day. And thank you all for the many ways you brighten my life. ~ Vonnie

I have a copy in both formats so if I win just give it to someone else who hasn't Vonnie- or I can. :) I love this book and our first will always hold a special place for us in our hearts. Don't worry, it won't be forgotten! I'm so excited tomorrow I can finally get Those Violet Eyes!

Poor Vonnie.

It does feel a little like you're dropping off your first born on the first day of school, doesn't it?

Well, I'm here to say you are a great mother! Both Storm's Interlude and Those Violet Eyes are incredible children and we readers are lucky to have you share them with us.

I have my copies so don't add me in the giveaway, and for those of you who haven't read Vonnie's stories yet, you are in for a thrill.

Big time congrats on release day tomorrow. You deserve the accolades sure to come your way.

Calisa, yes, our first is always special to us. I recieved such marvelous reviews--like YOURS--on Amazon and from review sites, that I'm afraid no one will like the second one and I'll get a review that reads, "Gee, you know, this book didn't live up to the promise of the first." YIkes!!!

Mac, thanks for your kind words. They mean more than you can imagine. I've been very fortunate in my writing career so far in that I've met such lovely writers and readers. In a world where "snark" often rules, it's refreshing to interact with ladies who spread warmth and sunshine. Thanks for your comments.

Vonnie, as exciting as a new release is, the "first one" always has a special place in your heart. Much luck with "Those Violet Eyes"! I am going to follow your blog in the off chance you haven't given away all your copies of "Storm's Interlude".

I know what you mean.

I've just published my second novel and as excited as I am about it, it's a shame to leave the debut book behind!

Oh, sad, but maybe you can think about it as sending a child off to college.
