She felt a portion
of herself return, a portion she’d hidden for so long; that light-hearted part
of her soul that teased and cajoled. “Honest, I wasn’t trying to attack you.”
She placed an open palm on his defined pecs and patted. “You’re safe with me,
big guy.” Just to rattle him some more, she winked.
Win’s hazel eyes
flashed for a second, then he slowly leaned in and whispered in her ear, “You’re
not safe with me.”

Oh Vonnie, I loved that last line. It made me chuckle.
Your release day is almost here!!
Yes, it is Karen. Getting eager. If there are readers--please, God, let there be readers--I hope they enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it. The chemistry between these two was so much fun.
Oh, Vonnie. I just love your heroes. That last line...yum.
Thanks, Joanne. So far, Win's been my favorite, perhaps because he was a hero abroad and at home, too. Although Jean-Luc in my newly contracted "Rain is a Love Song" is a favorite, too. OMG, I'm so fickle. Thanks for stopping by.
I just loved these characters, but that Win! Yowser! Just plain loved this book!
Thanks, Mac. Yup. Yowser would describe Win.
Vonnie, This post is just one of the many reasons why I'm passing on the Blogger’s Sunshine Award to you! WHOOP! Love you, girl. Here’s the link for your instructions. Congrats and hugs!! :)
