Calvin and I are sitting in the Charlotte International Airport, waiting for our flight to San Antonio, Texas -- land of the Alamo, famed River Walk and great Mexican food.
Tomorrow we plan on visiing the Alamo -- remember it?? -- before driving to the Silver Spur Ranch for The Wild Rose Press's annual writers' retreat. Can't wait. I've been counting the days since we decided to attend.
Someimes you just need to get away, to take a break from the routine and little problems that seem to pop up so often at home.
I'm hoping the trip and time with other writers will spark my creativity. I've two writing projects I need to finish before edits come in on three more projects under contract. Yes, writing is my life. I love it. But sometimes, it's draining on my soul. Know what I mean?
What do you do to rejuvenate your body and soul?

Vonnie, I read. My idea of relaxing is a good book, especially a good romance novel. Hope you're having a great trip.
Have a wonderful time! And you're right, some times a change of scenery makes all the difference.
Rest and spark enough for the rest of us! Seriously, worship and prayer rejuvenate my body and soul--"the joy of the Lord is my strength." Without those, I peter and putter and generally crash from the exhaustion of carrying my world on my own shoulders. Be blessed!
