Today I'm sharing a snippet from book two of my romantic suspense series: Rain is a Love Song. Please note this title will be a FREE download on Amazon this week, starting on Tuesday. I hope you'll snag your free copy.
The following scene takes place in Paris. French counterterrorism agent, Jean-Luc has just been called to a murder scene. He has Gwen, a crime scene reporter from Asheville, NC, in the car with him. She wants to photograph the scene. He tells her she's not permitted. They've been arguing about this and a few other things, so both the heroine and hero's nerves are frayed...
Gwen hiked her chin in that pugnacious way she had. “I thought you were smart enough to see a fresh set of eyes might help. Maybe if I were a man…”
His hand fisted in her hair, and he dragged her to him, their faces a mere inch apart. “I wish to hell you were a man. I’d slug you.”
She rolled her eyes and started muttering under her breath again. Something about how she wished he’d try and how great he’d look with his foot broken off and shoved up his ass.
FREE from Tuesday to Saturday, April 16-20th.
