A New Look and a New Feature at Vintage Vonnie

Were you surprised when you landed on Vintage Vonnie? I've got a new look thanks to Theresa McClinton of Making it Reel Productions. She made the awesome header, welcome sign to the right, my blog badge for you to snag and the logo picture of me (that would be logo, NOT loco.). I simply love her work. She created a book trailer some time ago for Rain is a Love Song. Scroll down, way down for the link to view it.

Along with my fresh look, I'm starting a new feature on Vintage Vonnie--"Books I've Loved." You know how I love to party and you're aware of my lifelong love affair with books. But I have other loves, as well, and one of them is supporting other writers. So, I got this wild idea...I know that's a scary thing. Why not chose a few authors most every week and promote one of their books? Three or four stories I loved showcased as a surprise. Why a surprise? Because every book is a surprise, is it not? A delightful, emotion-filled surprise created by my featured authors and enjoyed by their readers.

Choosing three or four won't be easy. I mean, there are SO many awesome books out there. I typically read two books a week and since I've been reading romance since '66, well, I've got gobs and gobs of favorites. There are endless writers I adore and have learned from. Authors who have invaded my mind and heart, carving out a permanent spot there. So check back every week to see who I'm featuring. You might be surprised. If you don't see someone you know this week, stop in next week and the next. They'll be arranged in no particular order for no particular reason.

BOOKS I'VE LOVED

He rode into town to buy supplies, not a woman.

For hunted recluse Rafe McBride, the dark-haired beauty on the auction block is exactly what he doesn't need. A dependent woman will be another clue his vengeful stepbrother can use to find and kill him. But Rafe's conscience won't let him leave another innocent's virginity to the riff-raff bidding. He buys her, promising to return her to St. Louis untouched. He only prays the impending blizzard holds off before she breaks his willpower.

She wanted freedom, not a lover.

Whisked to the auction block by her devious, gambling cousin, and then sold into the arms of a gorgeous stranger, outspoken artist Maggie Monroe isn't about to go meekly. Especially when the rugged mountain man looks like sin and danger rolled into one. But a blizzard and temptation thrust them together, and Maggie yearns to explore her smoldering passion for Rafe.

But when the snow clears, will the danger and secrets that surround Rafe and Maggie tear them apart?

Get Wild. . .And Then Get Wilder. . . Accountant Katie Kramer is a quintessential good girl--working hard, recycling diligently, all the while trying to ignore the feeling that she doesn't fit in anywhere. That's all she wants. Well, that--and amazing sex, and the kind of daredevil escapade she can look back on when she's crunching numbers in a dusty cubicle. Which explains why she just took a job in Wishful, California, working for Wilder Adventures and Expeditions. Waking up to find a magnificently built stranger towering over her bed--that part defies explanation. . .

His grandmother’s heir, Kayla Blanton, is crazy about Billy, but he's a teacher in a school that has a morals clause, and her last job was in a topless club.

Kayla can communicate with the ghost, something Billy can't do himself. He needs her, but he can't let himself get too attached or he could lose his job. He's falling in love, but marriage is out of the question. He wants kids, and Kayla can't give him a baby.

Thanks, Sarah. I love the new look, too, and with so much negativity tossed out in reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, I decided to spread some positive vibes about some of the books I've read.

Theresa captured what I write quite well, didn't she? Calvin is quite enamored with the woman on the right in red lipstick. But, hey, put red lipstick on a pig and he's love pork, too.

AJ, you know I loved Caedmon. He is hunkalicious. So glad you like the new look.
