PARTY WITH ME FOR A BIT...

Come on in. I've got lots of chocolate to share. We're going to celebrate. I mean, party hearty, catch my drift? Why, you ask? Well, my friends, my first book is on Amazon. Is that wild or what?

Have a piece. It's chocolate from Germany. Girl, it'll melt in your mouth and curl your toes. Now, what was I saying? Oh, yeah, my book, Storm's Interlude, is on Amazon. Can you believe it?

Imagine my shock when I checked earlier today. I mean, it wasn't due out until July 15th. Here, have a cupcake. Aren't the flowers exquisite? I think the icing's made with Belgian chocolate.

Don't be shy, now. Have a couple truffles while I pour the champagne. C & C (champagne and chocolate), my "ultimate favo-favorite."

Want some cake? Next to a man in a tuxedo, I like a cake in a tuxedo best, don't you? Get yourself a plate and I'll cut you a slice. Now, back to my book. There's a story behind it. Although I cranked it out in 3 months, I'd been working on it for 50 years. I'm serious.

Nibble on another chocolate-covered strawberry, and I'll tell you how. You see, my dream of writing a book sprouted the summer between fourth and fifth grades. Fifty years ago...okay, fifty-three, but who's counting. Hold still, you've got chocolate on your chin. Let me get you a napkin. A lady should always look her best.
So, all these years, my subconscious has been working, planing and taking notes. I've watched people and been super observant of others' relationships. And I've read more romances than a bookstore could hold. All in preparation for the day I got serious about my dream of writing. Let's dive into this chocolate-sin cake.

Here have a slice of double fudge cake. It's an old family recipe. I beat the batter on super high speed and whip those nasty calories right out. Now, like I was saying, seeing my book on Amazon was the culmination of a fifty-year-old dream. I wanted to scream, to cry, to jump up and down and go, "Oh, yeah, that's my baby."
Thus, the reason for the party...

I'm glad to see your book out at last. I've been waiting for it FOREVER! You must be hyped up on too much chocolate, because I know it's past your bedtime. Do you plan to party all night?

I'm here to PARTY!! It's only 10.11pm Sunday night here in NZ, so I'll be good to go for another couple of hours yet : )

So thrilled for you Vonnie! Nothing like seeing your baby all beautiful, shiny and new out in the big, wide world. Congrats, my friend, and I know the hangover will be worth it : )

Oh my God, Vonnie what a party. How can we resist these chocolates. Each one is my favorite. Sweetie, happy release day. Now and on the 15th of July. This is one successful book. By the way I have a similar picture of my granddaughter first taste of chocolate.
