Don't you love this banner? I do. I think it's gorgeous. So is the author Kharisma Rhayne and she's agreed to answer some questions for us.
1. Kharisma, what authors and genres do you like to read? I love Highlander
and Native American. However, I think I’ve read all the Highlander and have a
very difficult time finding much on the Native American historical erotic
romance front. The author that got me hooked on Highlander is Monica McCarty. I
always have her books on pre-order.
2. What is your writing schedule like? It’s sad really.
It’s mainly a “when I can” thing. I am trying to make it more like a regular
job during 2013, but kids, family, kids’ school events and volunteer work still
pull top priority. Sometimes I write early in the morning, sometimes late in
the evening, sometimes middle of the night. lol
3. What is the story behind your book title? Highlander Mine. It just fit so well (at least in my mind). Auralee is born to the wrong century and the wrong country. She loves Scotland history and finds she gets an opportunity to visit for research. What she doesn’t realize is that someone in 1560 needs her as much as she wants to find her perfect highlander. It just seemed that “Mine” had to be in the title. She travels a long way to find him.

4. Do you ever dream of writing in a different genre? No, I love the
ones I write in. I suppose that since I write in more than one, I’ll never get
tired of it.
5. What part of the writing process brings you the most
pleasure? The most angst? I love the research and putting it all together. I
love creating my characters as I see them. The part that drives me insane is
the actual time on waiting for acceptance or rejection. I think all authors are
ripping out their hair at that time. Then it’s the waiting for release. It’s
like it never comes fast enough.
6. What are you currently working on? I’m working on
several items that are going to be available during 2013. One is Pieces of You,
another is Heart of
Vengeance. Then there will be several more releases in my Bound by Seduction Series
and Bound by
Temptation Series. My ongoing for 2013 is, of course, Highlander
Mine. It’s my episode serial. I’m looking forward to having tons of fun
with it during the year.
7. Has your road to publication been a walk in the park or
a steep mountain climb? Give us some details? I think, compared to many authors,
I’ve had a more of a walk in the part deal. I’ve not gotten rejections. That
tends to keep any author happy. So, it could definitely be worse and I’m very
grateful that it hasn’t been.
8. Tell us about your current release…or soon to be
release.
I mentioned it a little above. Highlander Mine is a Highlander Historical Time
Travel Erotic Romance. Auralee and Breandan are meant to be together even
though they were born 100's of years apart. I’m hoping everyone will fall in
love with this weekly episode series (like I have).
Also, be sure to stop by my site (HERE) for a change to win the
complete Season 1 of Highlander Mine.

Thanks so much for having me today :D
Kharisma!!! Okay, I don't mean to overwhelm you, but I am soooo excited to see your post. My name is AJ Nuest and I am a friend of Vonnie's, published and agented author that is in the throes of writing a serial/episode time travel romance. I need to be your friend!! LOL I need to pick your brain about how you accomplished this serial and all the ins and outs that happened in the process. I've got so many questions for you! Would you mind terribly emailing me, or providing an addy so that I can email you and pick your brain a little? Please say yes. Please, oh please say yes. LOL I promise not to stalk you...I'm just very excited to finally find someone who has ventured into this genre. I can be reached at ajnuest @ yahoo (dot) com - without the spaces. Thank you!!
lol...Hi AJ....your post made me smile :D (something I really needed this morning).I'll drop you an email...besides, we could all use a dedicated stalker or two :D
Good luck with your Highlander time-travel, Kharisma. Being a Scot I'm quite taken by the interest in those brawny, sexy kilted men!
Hi Nancy,
I'm Scot's myself...I think that's where my obsession comes from too :D
Personally, I attribute my thriftiness to being part Scots... I even make my own laundry soap :)
Nice to see your tour stops Kharisma!
Oh how neat. I actually do my own soap and candles too. I've even got goats that I'm breeding now for milk to make cheese and soap with. (I also hand quilt...scary huh? lol)
Hi just trying to make all the stops of the tour today; just sorry wasn't here on the correct day!
The books sounds very interesting!
Thank you for the contest!
